The Morse Insurance Agency was originally formed as a result of the merger between the David R. Morse Insurance Agency and the John I. Lowndes Insurance Agency, founded in 1950.

The Agency was first known as the Lowndes-Morse Insurance Agency. The agency name was changed to Morse Insurance Agency, Inc. in 1997 to better reflect its evolution into a family owned and operated business.

David R. Morse, founder of the agency lived in the Town of Easton, MA for 28 years. David became very involved in the town as a founder of the Easton Chamber of Commerce and active in the Easton Lions Club. Through the years he was also active in various sports programs for children including, youth baseball, basketball and golf.

David R. Morse has sold the agency to three of his sons, Daniel, Timothy and Brian. Dan has been President in charge of day to day operations since May of 2002. Tim and Brian are both Vice Presidents of the organization.

The Joseph A. Dutcher Insurance Agency, located in West Bridgewater joined the Morse Agency in 1998. The Arnberg Insurance Agency of Bridgewater then joined us in 2000. Both agencies were consolidated into a new location in Winter Place, 755 Bedford Street, Bridgewater, MA. The Otto Herrmann Insurance Agency of Raynham joined us in 1999. The Herrmann Agency later merged its business into the Easton and Bridgewater locations.

The Morse Insurance Agency has grown from a small one-room location to a multi-location agency with a state of the art computer system. Our home office is a 3300 square foot location in Easton, MA.

The agency currently employs 18 people and services well over 8,000 clients. Licensed in Massachusetts, Rhode Island, New Hampshire, Vermont, New Jersey, Maine and Connecticut, we work closely with many regional and national carriers to bring our clients the best possible products at a competitive price.
