We’re excited to introduce you to two more Morse Insurance clients, the team behind The Farmer’s Daughter and Towneship!
The Farmer’s Daughter is an established local favorite that opened in 2013 on Main Street in Easton. Fun fact — head chef and owner Chandra Gouldrup is actually a farmer’s daughter herself! Her father grew up on a potato farm in Northern Maine, which contributed to Chandra’s lifelong appreciation for high quality, locally grown produce. This experience, along with her Italian heritage (her mother was 100% Sicilian) helped shape the chef she is today and is apparent in the offerings at The Farmer’s Daughter. They work to create highly shareable comfort food with a modern twist and a focus on farm-to-table ingredients. Fan favorites include the chicken and waffles benedict, the brioche French toast, and of course, the bacon!
This year, Chandra and her partner David Howe opened Towneship, located just a few storefronts down on Main Street. Towneship focuses on providing real, fresh, local food with an updated spin on traditional New England dishes. Housed in a reclaimed 150-year-old church, Towneship offers a casual but elegant atmosphere where you can comfortably enjoy a drink and a delicious meal.
An essential part of this team’s success has been its focus on the community. The chef/owner opened both restaurants on Main Street in Easton to help revitalize the neighborhood. They also work closely with local farms and vendors to show their support to other small businesses. Their commitment to the community doesn’t just focus on the food. The staff at The Farmer’s Daughter also try to give back through donations, working with organizations like the Old Colony YMCA, Crohn’s and Colitis Foundation, Joe Andruzzi Foundation, and Rosie’s Place, to name a few.
Morse, of course, considers ourselves very lucky to have these two fantastic restaurant options in our community. If you haven’t been — stop by today and tell them Morse sent you.
